How to write a cd or dvd..?

JUST PASTE DATA IN DRIVE WHEN U PUT CD IN WRITER.. JUST CLICK ON WRITE THIS FILE TO THE CD ON LEFT SIDE... JUST FOLLOW IT..

AND ANOTHER WAY JUST GO WITH ABOVE LIKE PROVIDE BY CA MAM[BUT IT NEED SOF TO WRITE] IF U DONT HAV SOF TRY 1ST WAY....

wht i have done is dat i hv paste the data in my CD after inserting CD in the writer. After dat file is reflecting under the heading called "Files ready to be written'".

After this i hv ejected the CD and reinserted the CD. But Problem is dat when i clicked  the properties of CD disk, it is showing  only few KB space is left but i hv inserted the very blank CD of 700 M.B space.

Is CD got corrupted or got unsuable....?

I hv not cliked the option which u r telling i.e. WRITE THIS FILE TO THE CD ON LEFT SIDE after pasting my data.Also i don't hv any CD Burning or writting Software.

Dear frnd... u just copy paste data in ur cd drive not in ur CD..file is ready to be written means now u can write dat file to ur particular cd... for write cd u hav to click the button   WRITE THIS FILE TO THE CD.. 
Then u file wil originaly write ur data.. ur cd is not corrupted.. it all fine..

1. Copy the data in ur cd drive....

2. then u will see ur above line Files ready to be written then u can click to this button WRITE THIS FILE TO THE CD.

3. click the button close after writing, then within few min ur file is write.... ur CD automatically ejected by windows. after dat u can check data on ur cd..
