How much do u earn??

its a query from most of us students.. however we do have a vague idea abt it.. but still not know in a forum... wat do Our CA's earn as their pay packages???

I wud like to ask all the CA's .. abt how much do they earn n what growth propects they see in their job profile..???

n how does a CA reach at the top positions in an organisation.. n may b sumday takeover a MNC(foreign Co)..

Dear Saurabh, i would like to tell u that , there is no limit of earning by CA in their pay packages the demand for CA's is very high these days and it would increase in coming days, the reason is more regulatory laws introduced by government more reporting requirements and transparency in financial accounting systems and financial statements, mergers and acquistions taking place in the corporate world and many more. but the thing is intially as a fresher you cant expect more, one has to work hard in his inital years of career. There are CA 's to whom i know are getting Rs. 50 lac per annum, One can reach at higher managerial level gradually as he gets experience and gets matured in this doings.

means initially work hard n gain experience n later make that exp gained fruitful... so Sir how much do u earn.. i mean approximately.. r u a recently Qualified CA??

Im also intersted in Saurabhs question and none of you have actually answered it.

Iam a CPT student and sometimes I think whether CA is even worth it not in terms of money(im in anguish about this), so please provide answers as to:

1)Starting salary of average CA

2)Starting Salary of Student Who has Done his Internship at the Big 4 or a reputed firm

3)Starting salary of a top 10 CA ranker

I happened to read this on an official website of ICAI the highest pay package for the candidates selected in campus interview was 12.6 lakhs annual package, and an average of 8 lakhs annual pay pack was given to few candidates and the least I remember was above 6 lakhs annual package.

Thank you for your reply Sudhir :) I happen to read that article to , 12.6 lakhs seems like extremely rare for a start up CA, I guess the figure we can bank upon is 6 lakh+

Ground reality is When u qualify ca u earn 15-20k pm, in firms or mid size orgs..(except mns's)

In the history of CA inst. there hav NEVER been FULL campus placement...

So pepl who qualify go by the ariel rout n work here-there for initial 2yrs..

Except MNC's & Big 4, No body pays Ca's a package above Rs.4 lakhs p.a.

And wid gr8 competition wid CWA's, MBA's etc, CA's wid average personality find it hard to Crack a job in any MNC.

No government organisations HIRE CA's n even CA's have to go by the general rout of filling entrace forms from U.P.S.C

Nd Welcome to new world of G.S.T where u wont have these old taxes onto which CA's firms were running smoothly...

AND Believe it or not, a CA qualified in june 2009, frnd of mine, is working for12k p.m coz there less rewarding jobs available

U SHOULD BE AWARE OF BOTH BRIGHTER AND DARKER SIDES OF THE PROFESSION...

Prajakta, I think job does not depends upon your academic record unless u r topper. You got good % marks in 10th, 12th & b.com but these have no importance in ca career, your ca academic record is not good but if u get good record in ca final & having good knowledge in taxation then u can get job in good ca firms but not guaranteed to top ca firms.
