House Rent Receipt - PAN Requirement

It is not mandatory to provide pan number on rental receipt.

It is not mandetory to obtain PAN. see if the landlord receives rent from the certain person one who is staying in landlord's house as rent exceeding Rs 50,000 per annum in that cercemstances it is compulsory to obtain PAN from landlord as well as Rent receipt.

I am living in delhi on rented house and the rent is Rs. 5000/- per month. The hosue is situated on prime location and well furnished. But my problem is that my ladlord is not agree to give any rent kind of receipt nor his pan card no., any body please suggest what steps should we need to follow in such circumstances?

if receipt of rent is there,PAN is precautionary measure. if landlord have other income also & filing return thentaking PAN NO. no problem.
