Help! Regarding Articleship

Hey guys! I have to register for my Articleship. But the thing is, I'm into Mutual funds (distributor/broker), the income comes under my name. Also, I get some insurance commission (which is also under my name) but the thing is I don't work. I had read somewhere that only if I do some other work during Articleship hours & if the principal complaints it will be a problem.

So now should I take ICAI's permission or better I don't disclose this fact? 

Will the ICAI be generous enough to accept this?
