Dear Friends,

I have enrolled for CS executive programme and am presently working as Asst. Vice President with a category 1 Merchant Banker since 4 years. My total work experience is 7 years including 2 years of working with BSE Listing Deptt. I wish to know the following:

1) Other than exemption from the Accounts paper is there any subject exemption that i can claim?

2) When are the project reports to be submitted (the topics are mentioned on the website but the submission time has not been mentioned). Are these project reports to be handwritten?Can we submit the project reports for the Executive and professional programmes at one time.

3) What is the procedure for getting an exemption from computer training and SIP?

Hope that you shall help me with the above queries.

Following are answers of some of your queries.

For list of exemptions you can visit icsi.edu for all the details

For project reports(CC sheets) you have to send it in hand written form and it should reach insti. by 28feb for june 2012 exam.

And there is no way to get exemption from SIP,& regarding computer training u can get the exemption if you have any certificate of completion of computer training in the same areas like tally etc. (e.g. IT training certificate issued to CA students on completion of training).

Dear Harish,

Thanks for the update but i am still not very clear on the link about the project report. Though you have sent me the link of topics, nowhere is it mentioned about the submission deadline and other necessary procudure/ guideline to be followed for project/ answer sheet submission.

Further more than a period of 6 months has already lapsed and i have not yet submitted any paper work to the institute. Please guide me on the same.

Hello Swati,

If you are planning to appear for exam in the month June, then you need to submit the answer to the test paper before Feb 28th or if you are appearing for Dec then you need to sumit before 31st Aug. Complete instructions are provided in the title sheet in the below link. Hope this helps you.
