I also have the same query ? Is it compulsory to show the purchase details in GSTR 4, Actually in GSTR 4A , the purchases from registered dealers are displayed. When i tried to upload the downloaded JSON file in offine utility, Purchases from registered dealers are not auto filled. Some are advising me to fill only RCM purchases and unregistered purchases. What is the right solution? Is it necessary to type and enter all the registered dealers purchasesas well? Please guide me..
yes unregistered purchase is to be shown mandatorily. Have to pay tax under RCM too, Showing unregistered is upto you. Unregistered purchases sold as no.2 sales need not be shown. Again the decision is yours. But strictly speaking, it has to be shown. Practically, still many are not that much transparent.
B2B purchase is not compulsory and no need to be shown in gstr4.
