I have pending gstr 3b and 1for April. now I can upload gstr 1 for May please let me know

you have to file your april month returns first then only you will be able to file may month returns.
before filing of current return, previous return should be filed
You can't file the current month returns without filing previous month returns.
No you cannot
Gst portal does not accept current month return until you file previous month returns.
