or firm registration and gst registration two different think... ???

Both are different things.

GST Registration is under the CGST/SGST Act 2017. ( when your Aggregate Turnover exceeds Rs. 20 lakhs/ Rs. 10 lakhs in Special Category States ).

Firm Registration is under the Indian Partnership Act 1932. ( optional ).
