HI!

I'M A STUDENT OF CA PE2 (I.E. OLD SCHEME)

I HAVE ALREADY GIVEN 4 PE2 ATTEMPTS TILL NOVEMBER 2008 WITH SUCCESS IN ONLY GROUP 2. I'LL BE GIVING MY 5TH ATTEMPT IN JUNE 2009 WHICH WILL BE LAST FOR ME IN THE PE2 SCHEME.

NOW I AM ASSUMING THAT I WON'T CLEAR EVEN THIS ATTEMP SO I HAVE ALSO STARTED PREPARING FOR CAT 2009 (B'COZ MBA IS ONE THING I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO N HAD I CLEARED PE2 IN ANY OF THE EARLIER ATTEMPTS I WOULD HAVE WAILTED TILL I FINISHED CA TO START WITH MBA BUT SINCE I'VE ALREADY LOST 2 PRECIOUS YEARS I DON'T WANT TO WAIT).

SO MY QUESTION IS THAT IF I CLEAR PE2 THIS TIME N DECIDE TO CONTINUE WITH CA N DO MBA AS WELL, IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO A FULL TIME MBA BY TAKING A DUMMY N BY NOT DISCLOSING TO THE INSTITUTE ABT THE MBA?

! if you are not able to clear only pe-2, that too in 4 attempts, then "cat" or other professional exams r not ur cup of tea, as far as i think.

CLEARLY CA WAS A WRONG CAREER CHOICE FOR ME, I TOOK IT UNDER FAMILY PESSURE. BUT PLEASE CAN ANYONE JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION THAT WHETHER IT IS POSSIBLE TOO DO A FULL TIME MBA WITH CA?

JUST B'COZ IT DOESN'T HAPPEN WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE DOESN'T MEAN THAT IT DOESN'T HAPPEN.

hi Sakshi, According to me you have to continue the ca course along with this you do mba full time by doing dummy articleship but the problem arises that u cannot get knowledge of pratical experience. i think u should switch towards CS Course in that u donot have any burden of attending classes or colleges. i m a PCC Student Cleared Group 1 in Nov 08 and Preparing for GRoup 2 in June 09.

Sakshi,

PLEASE focus on one and do not get confused. Since you are more interested in MBA, attend entrance test classes and do it in full swing. You have already tried PE2 and I hope u have given the best effort. So please don't go by what others say. MBA entrance is different from CA.

Further it will not possible to do side by side CA as it is a demanding course.

Get outof this confusion soon...aks yourself what you want..don't try too much to satsify everyone in life. If you r more interested in MBA, leave everything and concetnrate on it. All the best!
