For some reason I couldnt file my tax return within the stipulated time of July 2008. Can I file it now? if yes what is the period within which I have to file it? Can I file it online ? If it isnot possible online, should I file it directly in Income-tax office?

Yes , you can file the ITR now. You will only have to pay interest with your tax.....
