Filing of gstr 4
after payment of late fee of Rs 320/- the same liability still shows in liability ledger on Portal and I can't file gstr 4 for the period july-sept.

Did you mention late fees in column of fees or penalty's??
bcoz late fees should always mention in Fees column...plz cheak it first.

i am sure you filled wrong return
you dont fill any purchase detail or sale details
if you have RCM like GTA purchase or unregistred purchase (before 13oct) then you have to pay RCM on it
i am sure you filled your registered purchase as RCM in column 4B(B2B) thats why your liability as RCM shows there

But there is not any single transaction of sales or purchase, i am filing nil return for the period july-sept
when you try to file your gstr 4 and how much late fee you pay ?
if you filled today
then late fee for 19 days = 19×50 = 950( 475 cgst 475sgst)

There is Nil return so late fee will be 19 days * 20 Rs = 380.
but i paid yesterday evening Rs 320/- the portal itself shows the same amount and still it shows in liability Rs 320/-
means you do not have any tax laibility ... keep check again that in tax payment you do not show any sales turnover ...

yesterday you have paid rs 320/- and when have you filed return ?
if liability of late fee shown till today 320 it means that is portal prob
if shown 380 then you have to pay your late fee
after it submit your return
then go to column 10,11 and then file your return

go to gstr 4 initiate filing do not use tool for nil return
after inititae filing save your turnover then submit your return go to column 10,11 you can see your late fee there its automatically deducted and then you file your return ..
