Hi everyone, my articleship getting over on 12th march 2011.but as i had taken excess leave i will be getting around 7 - 8 months extension.so i want 2 know that can i complete this extension in other CA FIRM? And does this come under rules of transfer? Please help me out guys..and has anyone of you had done or doing extension with some other CA? PLEASE REPLY GUYS.. THIS IS REALLY URGENT..

U CAN DO UR EXTENSION WITH SO OTHER CA FIRM ALSO.
No u can't do your extented articleship with another CA firm unless & until u join for IT training. As per transfer rule, transfer is allowed only in the first year of articleship and not in subsequent year. So it is better u talk to your current principle and request him not to extend your articleship provided you tell him to work two or three months with him.
but i dont want to take transfer... i want to do my extended period with some other CA. can i do that??
