Extension of articleship

No of excess leave taken, plus 1/6th of the same(inclusive).

Nisha... The total leave alowed in the article ship is 1/6th of training period... Means if u have articleship training of 3.5 year then 7 month of leave is allowed... Any leave excess of 7 month will b consider as extended leave and hav to complete after training.. SOURCE: TRANING GUIDE PROVIDED BY ICAI WITH THE PCC MODULES...

Is there any formalities to be fulfilled for extension of articleship?

A general thumb rule is you have 180 days of leave credit for 3.5 years training period. Any excess is to be served, unless until your CA is super-human.. ;)

 

@ prakash: Form 107 is required to filled, if you want to continue at the same firm. For switching to another firm, 108 for completion, then 102 and 103 for re-registration.
