Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether partnership firms can capitalise expenses such as labour costs and consultancy fees during their first year of operation. It clarifies that expenses can either be capitalised or taken as a tax exemption, with capitalised expenses being tax allowable. The conversation also touches on government incentives and how these expenses are added to an asset, with a question raised about tax savings through amortisation into the cost of sales.

Please elaborate your query in details

You either capitalise or take tax exemption. Capitalised expenses are tax allowable. If the government is giving incentives, then it is tax exempt.

All those expenses are added to that asset

@ Rajnikanth I have a doubt because I’m not into tax. Don’t you get tax savings as part of amortising them into cost of sales?
