CIMA has a memorandum of understanding with the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India which gives ICWAI members advanced student status when they study the CIMA professional qualification.

On successful completion of the CIMA Professional Gateway Examination, ICWAI members will gain exemptions from all certificate and management papers.

They can start studying for the three strategy level papers immediately.
