WE ARE A MANUFACTURER OF ITEM WHICH ATTRACTS 1% EXCISE FROM 01-03-2011. WE NOW PURCHASED AN ITEM FROM A COMPANY WHICH IS ENJOYING NIL DUTY (SSI EXEMPTION). WE WANT TO EXPORT BOTH THE PRODUCT I.E. MANUFACTURED ITEM + TRADING ITEM (NIL DUTY) AS THE COMPANY FROM WHICH WE PURCHASED IS ENJOYING NIL DUTY SO WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE . SHOULD I HAVE TO FILL ARE-1 FOR BOTH THE PRODUCTS AND HOW TO PREPARE THE EXCISE INVOICE

KINDLY ADVISE

THANK N REGARDS

you have to make ARE-1 of your own goods only, under rule 18 or 19 as the case may be, for the traded portion of goods, u may make ARE1 from the 2nd factory or send it against the invoice raised by the 2nd manufacturer to customs, ( as its exempted no burden of duty lies)

but if ARE-1 procedure is followed, then the 2nd factory would get benefit of not adding the clearence in home consumption.
