Excise aplicablity

Hi,

One of our clients is providing service to abroad companies and the sale value exceeds 1C.

I have a doubt if there is any exemption if the software is treated as goods and is exported. Also if the software is treated as service and is exported as per the place of provision of service rules as it is online service the service is deemed to be provided in the place where it is operating ie in India right.

Please advice.. Urgent

If you are providing taxable services from india and your services falling under rule 9 of place of provision of services rules 2012, then you need to pay service tax otherwise no need to pay service tax.
