Excess TDS - Urgent Please!

Others 585 views 5 replies

One of my client (Professional employed on remuneration basis & not salary) has got Form 16 - TDS Certificate - Stating that total TDS deducted for the year 2009-2010 = 23,550/-

While the TIN a/c is showing TDS = Rs. 28,850/-

Which amount should be claimed as TDS in Returns?

I Think it is better to claim the amount which exactly deducted from Deductor.

You should claim as per form 16a (TDS Certificate)

You can also verify the amount from incometax website
