Hi my articleship completion due date is 1st January 2011. but i have taken total leave of 290 days and have leave credit of 48 days which leaves me with excess leave of 62days. however we are not given credit for excess hours worked in my tenure of articleship i have totally worked 6,552 hrs. now my partner has asked me to serve the excess leave elsewhere. i request you to kindly tell me what all forms i have to fill.

And my firm used to pay stipend more than minimum prescribed as per ICAI in such case can i still claim the excess of 35hrs worked for credit.

Hi,

You need to do all the formalities which you did before joining the articleship,procedure is same.I'll still suggest you to visit ICAI and ask them if any other formalities need to be done, coz you cant predict them.

And in no case you can claim excess hrs worked.

Your firm have to grant compensatory leave for working for more than 35 hours (excluding lunch break) in a week irrespective of whether the stipend is more than the minimum prescribed by ICAI.
