Errors in Form 16

Hi,

There are some errors in my Form 16 related to wrong entries in Section 80D. Can these errors rectify? Also, can I go ahead with the same form, manually fill and file the ITR? Can it create any problems in the future related to Form 16?

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses errors found in Form 16, specifically within Section 80D. It explores the possibility of rectifying these mistakes and whether it's advisable to proceed with filing your Income Tax Return (ITR) manually with the incorrect form. The advice given suggests that while discrepancies between your ITR claims and Form 16 can raise queries, they are generally accepted if you possess valid evidence to support your claims.

Query would be raised, when you have difference in claims as in ITR and form 16, but if you have proper evidence to authenticate your claim, its accepted.

Thank you Sir for the reply
