I am facing an error while filing ITR-4. I do not want to opt for the new tax regime and selected “No” in the respective field in the form. The return is validated successfully but at the time of verification it shows the error “New tax regime u/s 115BAC can not be opted without furnishing Form 10IE or the details provided in ITR is incorrect” Anyone facing the same issue? Please guide as to how should I proceed.

It seems, while replying to some questions, in the beginning of the filing ITR, (very first question) you have selected yes to opt for new tax regime.
There is lots of glitches all are facing. Check once more have you click on such option or not. If not then that is technical glitch of web site. I want to file itr3 as loss return getting error message like books not.maintained, tax audit not done etc. Wait till 15 Sept, 2021 as FM given time up to that period to infy. Let see date may extend or not also.

Just do one thing, download latest utility DU v.1.0.12 released on the 3th Sept, 2021; & reprocess the ITR. In case you do not succeed, send jason file to me; I will check it.

Sir, I tried it with the latest utility, but the error is still the same. Can you please give me your email id, I will send the json file.
Before that, I would like to know whether you had filled the form 10IE online?
If yes, you will have to contact helpline for its withdrawal.

Yes, I have filled the form but it has not been submitted. How should I proceed?
The system must have captured it.
File Complaint under 'Grievances' for removal of any cache, so that the ITR can get uploaded without the restriction. Clarify in it that you do not want to opt for new tax regime.
