I bought a laptop in Jan 08 for business purposes. I did not claim any depreciation for finanacial year 07-08. Can I claim depreciation on same laptop in finacial year 08-09?
If yes, at what rate?

Yes, U can claim Depreciation @ 60%. under the block Plant & Machinery.There is amendment from the A.Y. 2002-03, depreciation u/s 32(1) will be available whether(or not) assessee has claimed, the deduction for depreciation while computing of his Total Income.
