Hello,

I am looking forward to start a juice bars and am interested in procuring juice extractors and other machines from a foreign vendor. I see lot of information on EPCG cover, most of them are general information and i will appreciate if i can get answers to below questions.

1. Is juice bar allowed for EPCG cover? I learned that Hotel as well as food and beverage industry is eligible but not too sure about juice bars as they are not export oriented unit so i am not sure if juice bar is eligible for it.

2. If yes then what kind of concession can I receive?

3. If yes then what do I need to do to get the EPCG cover ? What is the eligibility? Where should i apply? How much time it might take?

4. If it is no then can i partner with some hotel and get the machines and then have that hotel transfer/sell the machinery to me? Is this allowable under law?

5. If no then a final question; Do i have any option to get the concessions?

I am working in a group of industries engaged in the manufacture of motors and pumps. In our group there is a private limited company say A and two partnership concerns say B and C. All the three are producing motors and pumps and selling in one brand name.

Since A is a private limited company, export orders are being received in A s name and L/C is also opened in the name of A. All these three concerns are having machine s imported under EPCG Scheme and so export obligation have to completed within the specified time.

The export obligation in A is completed. Export obligation under EPCG has to be completed in the account of B and C.

Goods are actually produced and machined through the machines imported under EPCG of B and C but the exports are done in the name of A as the export orders are in the name of A and LC is opened in the name of A.

In all invoices the wordings are invariably added that the goods are exported under the export obligation of B or C and in the shipping bill also the EPCG license particulars are incorporated in the last page as third party export.

Kindly guide me what is the correct procedure at the time of redemption of EPCG licenses of B or C

for the exports made through A .
