1. is it compulsory for an employees trade union to file income tax returns?
2. given that trade union maintains accounts from Jan to December, should the financial statement be prepared from April to March for return filing purpose??
3. can the firm issuing audit report and firm filing income tax return be different?

Mandatory filing of returns by Scientific Research Associations, News Agency, Trade Unions, etc. Hence, these are not required to file return under Section 139 (1).
from April to March fiancial year is a must
audit report and IT returns formats are different
