NO, NOT AT ALL

so now tell me if a company conducts it's egm on 8th August...and due to want of quorom it gets postponed for a week....date will now fall as 15th August...so now what to do?? quote relevant rule section caselaw as the case may be...

Sub-section (2) of Section 96 of the Act requires the Annual General Meetings to be held during business hours on a day that is not a National Holiday. Explanation to Rule 17(2) of Companies (Management and Administration) Rules, 2014 prescribes that a Meeting called by the requisitionists should be convened only on a working day.

yes an AGM shall not be convened on a national holiday but an adjourned meeting can be beld on a national holiday if there is no objections by the members
