E-filing with audit report

Efiling 1102 views 3 replies

Please let me know during e-filing of ITR,

1. Do we also upload Audit Report?

2. Also, what other documents upload with e-filing of ITR in case of Audit? Balance sheet, Profit & loss, and any other?

3. And, A CA would Digitally Sign the Audit Report which will upload?

Please response as soon as possible, as this is very urgent!

Thanks,

Raj

1) Audit report not required to upload. However audit report details also filed in PART A- OI and auditor details filed at General information. So not required to upload Audit Report.

2) No any other doucments upload for e-filing except XML format of Return format. Because all the details regarding P&L,B/S, TDS,etc... would be filed in return form.  But hard copies should be kept with the Assessee and has to produce to the AO if he requires at any time for his assessment etc..

3) Auditor not required to digitally sign.

The obligation of the assesssee is to onbtain the audit report from CA before the due date and not required to submit to the IT department either electronically or physically. The ITR has to be digitally signed by the assessee and audit report is not required to be signed by auditor digitally as the same is in physical form. The audit report has to be submitted to the department only when specfically asked for during the scrutiny.

Thanks!!! a lot guys for clearing me on these aspects..
