Now no need to take GSTIN upto RS. 20 LAKH turnover
In case of ecommerce sale also
Hi,

please add me to GST update group
But they are asking for gst no. And not allowing to list products
However govt allowed to sale on ecommerce portal with threshold exemption of Rs. 20 lakh dated 15.11 notifications no 65/2017.....talk to his official concern person... Generally they r not allowing to register without gstin
If our turnover is not exeeding rs20 lakh than also we need to pay tax or not.
Please tell him about exemption notification no 65/2017 dtd 15.11....now government allows to do business without gst no through ecommerce portal
If u take gst no then u hv to pay tax from the first invoice.... However u can avail benefits of input tax on ur purchase so tax payable arises only on profit portion... Which is collected from customer
But sir whatever information I got about gst and e-commerce it was written that it is mandatory to take gst no. And there is no. Exemption for e-commerce
Plz refer exemption notification no CGST 65/2017 DTD 15.11.2017....Initially govt make mandatory to take gst no but later in last to last gst council meeting they allowed
People are not up to dated... A no of amendments came afte gst implemented
Sorry this notification is only for supply of services and not for goods... So u hv to take mandatory gst no if u wish to do business through ecommerce
Registration for electronic commercial operator(Eco) is compulsory irrespective of any threshhold limit of 20 lakh (10 lakh in special category states whereas the concerned supplir who made their supplies of goods or services or both are also requied to compulsory registerd irrespective of limit 20 lakh.
However if Eco is liable to pay gst other than Tcs (not applicable till now?) and the concerned supplier made his supplies through this eco then then only exemption of 20 lakh available.
so as per ur case if eco (flipkart or amazon) paying gst other than tcs then only u get threshold exemption benefit 20 lakh
But eco is not paying tax in this case... Generally dealor have to pay gst on their sale... Sale made through portal.... Flipkart etc... Paying gst only on their commission income... So hv to take gst no... Without gst no they r not allowing to get registered on their portal
