Most of the students opt for dummy articleship, join private classes and wants to pass CA exam. It is widely known that articlaship plays a vital role in CA career. But most of them ignore this and they feel passing the exam is important.
Those who do dummy atricleship lack in practical exposure and getting training after passing the exam is not possible and they may be humiliated while getting such practical experience after qualification.
The ICAI can launch a tracking system to identify this dummy articleship. Some the ideas are as under;
1. Analyse the practice profile of the CA/Firm with details submitted to the institute by the member like income declared by the member CA with IT return, Bank audit and CAG empanelment application with articleship dairy/certificate and conduct an enquiry where there is abnormal difference
2. Control the private classes by imposing restrictions on class timings and faculty (most of them are icai members)
3. Collect the copy of articleship dairy on periodical basis by the institute.
4. Cover the articleship training quality in peer review.
5. Withold the result if dummy articleship is proved.
