Is there any extention to the due date to file the income tax return for the assessees who are not covered to tax audit..

No extention in case of non-audit assessee for AY 2009-10.
Only Date of filing of ITRs and obtaining Tax Audit reports in Pune, Satara, Kolhapur and Sangli District of Maharashtra was extended from 30-09-2009 to 31-10-2009.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) had decided to extend the time limit for filing ITR-V forms relating to income-tax returns for A.Y. 2009-10 filed electronically (without digital signature) on or after 1 st April 2009. These ITR-V forms could be filed up to 31 st December 2010 or within a period of 120 days of uploading of the electronic return data, whichever was later.

Actually The duedates for the Ay 2008-09 And Ay 2010-11 was extended so that in the same contention im asked about the AY 2009-10
Yes, but they are not binding each year....... depends upon circumstances prevailing at that time......
