Doublt regarding articleship
A friend of mine had converted from PE-II to IPCC about a year back. He is also a degree holder. Can he join the articleship now itself or should he wait another 9 months. Should he complete the orientation program and ITT before he can join articles?

In my view, he can join the articles if he had met the degree specified % criteria given by ICAI. You must do conversion to new scheme before Sept 30, 2012 and can join articles soon once you got the opportunity to work in any CA firm and you MUST complete ITT and Orientation before March 31, 2013 in order to be eligible to write exam in May 2013.
Thank u for the reply. One more doubt. If he joins for articles now is he not eligible to write IPCC in Nov? He has already applied for the exam
