Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether donations received by a society registered under the Telangana Societies Act, 2001, are taxable. Specifically, it addresses donations from non-members and from abroad. The key consideration is whether the society has obtained an 80G certificate, which impacts taxability and exemption eligibility. It also touches upon the need for registration under the Foreign Contribution Act for overseas donations.

A society registered under the society registration Act can avail the donation very easily.
