DONATION in marriage ? ?

NO deduction & Exemption as per my view

No deduction for Donation in marriage.
But if you have donated money to any trust which provide support for marriages. then deduction will be available under 80G.

If the donation has been given to a trust which qulaify for exemption of donation u/s 80G then, only the donation will give you exemption u/s 80G.

Look into the donation receipt, if the donation qualifies then the same have been mentioned on the receipt.

I agree with all the answers.. but
my question is about group marriage...
(for poor daughter or orphan girl, who haven't able to get afford the marriage cost , that's why ,the group of people , managed all'the activities for giving donation..

so.. in this way , they can claim deduction ?)
Dear Hemangi, Will you explain the meaning of group marriage ?

Is that a group of people collectively assisting for someone's marriage ??
Can I explain Gujarati meaning of that word ?
if you understand gujrati language...
