Do good firms take articleship transfer???

i just passed my group 1 ipcc and am going to go for articleship. none of the good firms have called me for an interview so i got in in a mediocre firm. i know that i can do better than this but i cannot wait any longer and am going to register with this firm. i want to know if the good firms would be willing to take articleship transfer when i pass my second group in next attempt?? when i become a ca i want to go for a job in corporate industry and i think that by doing articleship in a mediocre firm is not going to do much to make my cv attractive. what do you guys think?

Yes. You can later opt for industrial training, if you want to join the corporate world post qualification.

i know that i can take transfer within a year but will a reputed firm take me in as a article?

are you in industrial training? what is it like? from where are you doing it? what is the general policy of the industry regarding holiday for our exam?

I completed my Industrial training last year from Deutsche bank. The working conditions and the quality of work is materially better than that of C.A. firms (also it depends which industry you have opted). However, we don't get a luxury of 5-6 months of leave (obviously!!!). It's generally 3-4 months, including exam days. However, doing an I.T. in a reputed company can give you easier access to great companies after qualification.You get an edge over others during institutes placements as well. In my personal case, I got absorbed by DB after clearing, and am being paid as much as IIM grads.
