I would be thankful, if someone can help me know if there is any procedure of "intimation to income tax department about the dissolution of a proprietary firm".

no need to intimate income tax department. just while filing your itr dont fill the details of balance sheet as your business has closed and fill profit and loss a/c for the period your business was in existence... this is my thinking... wait for others to reply.
