Disqualification of auditor

In the Final Question paper there was a question that if the wife of an auditor has aquired some share in the auditee company after the appointment of the auditor, then is the auditor disqualified ?

Will be happy to see some posts on this topic from the learned scholars and the qualified members.

Regards.

As far as sec 226 of the Comapies Act is concerned this is not a disqualification.

As PER sec 226 of the Comapies Act is concerned this is not a disqualification.

BUT IF HIS WIFE OR RELATIVES ACQUIRE A SUBSTANTIAL(MORE THAN 20%) INTEREST IN COMPANY THEN THE AUDITOR WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AS PER PROFESSIONAL ETHICS.
