09 November 2012In the Final Question paper there was a question that if the wife of an auditor has aquired some share in the auditee company after the appointment of the auditor, then is the auditor disqualified ?

As far as sec 226 of the Comapies Act is concerned this is not a disqualification.

As PER sec 226 of the Comapies Act is concerned this is not a disqualification.
BUT IF HIS WIFE OR RELATIVES ACQUIRE A SUBSTANTIAL(MORE THAN 20%) INTEREST IN COMPANY THEN THE AUDITOR WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AS PER PROFESSIONAL ETHICS.
