Quick Summary
The Union Budget and the Finance Bill are closely related but distinct. The Finance Bill essentially acts as a replica of the Union Budget, containing proposed amendments. Once these amendments are approved by Parliament and receive presidential assent, the Finance Bill transforms into the Finance Act, becoming official legislation.
