Wrong assessment year selected

Hi, I have done a big mistake, while filing ITR online for the assessment year 2013-14, I have selected 2012-13 as Assessment year, also uploaded the file for the year 2012-13. I got the intimation for the demand from IT department. Please suggest me what to do, as early as possible.

If itr for the AY 2012-2013 has already been filed then revise the return for the AY 2012-2013 with the same figures as earlier mentioned. If itr for the AY 2012-2013 has not been filed earlier then revise the return with nill figure. In both the caese u have to file a new return for the AY 2013-2014

I knew Revise filing can be done within 1 year of the Assessment Year. I made one rectification request but they replied , rectification can not be done online. It can be done through the local Assessment officer. Please let me know.

You have filed return for AY 12-13 late. So you cannot revise it now.

File the correct return for AY 2013-14 now. About Ay 2012-13 contact the local assessing officer

Hi,

If I pay the demand raised in order to avoid this mess, will there be any problem in future. The wrong data for which they raised the demand, may it create any problem?. They raised demand only 1K. But I just wanted to have the correct data.
