Its good paper to score a good mark. All questions are logical any easy with basic knowledge. Expecting good work from students.

ya agreed........... all questions were logical but to solve whole paper in 3hrs is a difficult task

i do not understand why you people find paper was lengthy Paper could be easily over by 2.5 hours.

Many question were so direct and to the point. Even long question does not involve so much calculations.

Ohh Really... ??? Even examiner can't solve it in 2.5 hours time.. and if you doubt.. just make a try on paper...

Orally it can be solved in 20 minutes but on paper.. no one can do that.. even in 3 hours.. it requires minimum 3.5 hrs.

If any one has attempted of 100 marks.. let me know...

Hey I agree Ankur when he said that paper was not lengthy... But cant solve in 2.5 hrs... it was a 3 hr paper... If concept & base of Costing was good then could have been solved in 3 hrs... I couldnt answer the full paper coz i didnt know the answer, but answerd about 91 marks with 5 mins to spare...

How did you find it easy. compare with Nov 2010 exam. That exam was easy. This was tough. Backward working of Assignment . First of its kind ever in CA exam. BAckward Working in Transportation problem too. That too for the first time. Normally QT are direct questions. This time all twisted. Theory normally comes for 30 marks. This time hardly 12 marks came. According to me. This paper was tough.

@ Tarun: Yes, Nov 2010 paper was easy in the sense that all the questions were like direct or usual which we solve during revision etc... But it was lengthier than this... yesterday's paper was easy only if your base & concept of costing & QT are strong... because once you come to know what to do & from where to start it is not difficult to solve & the solutions were pretty small...

Like transporttion problem if u take... In that problem 1st allocate 'Demand & Supply values' in those cells were there is no 'delta ij' i.e. circled no is not there... then solve in UV method... problem over... only 2 UV tables & u will get answer Optimum cost Rs 4,300/- done...

Cracking of the solution will take time but solving wont... thats what happened to me so I personally found the paper 'Tricky, but easy'

Coming to theory part.... Infact 9 marks which I left was in theory coz am not a person who can write theory & I always more dependent on practicles to score marks & always concentrate on getting right answers for practicle by doing a perfect solution.

Sriram.. Nice to hear from u. But wen i qualified in Nov 2010 exams. I started with theory and then QT. In 1st 1 hour i could finish 48 marks of the paper. Only bcoz of theory. But then . To cover the balance 52 marks. It took me 1.45 hrs. What am trying to say is theory can help us to cool down and gain marks quickly. Even though practicals is fun... theory is Risk free. So i was disappointed with this times paper. So much of theory to learn and only 12 marks coming in exam. But its good to hear that u could crack it properly. Lets Hope u clear with gr8 results this time...

@ Tarun : Thanks mate... But really even I am amezed to crack such tricky answers.... Anyway it depends on perception of the individual & their preparation for the exam...
