Hi,

I have big doubt whether to apply Form 15G for Pf withdrawal for my Dad. His Pf will cross over Rs.1,00,000/-.He rendered service for 2 years and i know TDS is applicable.

The main thing i dont understand the paragragh which says for filing form 15g which i got from guidelines for filling Form 15g is “(Do note that not every individual or HUF can submit Form no 15 G. Only the individual / HUF, whose tax on the estimated income for the year is NIL and the amount of interest income from all the sources / securities does not exceed the minimum exemption limit, can submit Form 15 G form. NRIs can not submit Form 15G)”.

Now my doubt is that for this AY 2016-17 his salary was above 3,00,000 & now he left job. Whether Form 15g is to be submitted along with Form 19 and Form 10C.

Incase if form 15g is to be submitted then what should be answered in New Form 15G which is released in Oct 1st,2015 from column 16 to 19.

Plsreply ASAP. It will be more helpful.

please check the total income for the relevant AY and see if its taxable you will get the answer

hello kaardata,

income for salary = 320000

income from Bank Int=2000

                                322000

Less : Deduction   =   152000

NetTotal Income        170000

(So Tax liability is nil )

I think it is applicable to submit FORM 15G.

Form 15G and Form 15H are submitted at the beginning of each financial year i.e., in the month of April to request exemption from TDS on interest income.
If an individual expects interest income to exceed Rs. 40,000 (Rs. 50,000 for senior citizens), they must submit the form.
It remains valid for the entire financial year and must be resubmitted annually if eligibility criteria are met.
