Purchase date is 1.4.2013. The date should be taken as per the invoice not as per receipt of goods, but the date of receipt of goods could be explained in narration.

As we purchase goods we enter voucher number as per our own transactions on that particular date and the voucher number of sale invoice raised by seller will be mentioned in naration or in th e additional SUPPLIER'S DETAILS while entering the naration

Usually The Purchase of Goods Entry will be

When Goods Received First

Inventory A/c       -DR

     TO GRIR A/C 

After Invoice Receipt

GRIR A/C      -DR

      To Vendor A/C

you Can Follow the opposite Entry for Invoice Received First

And The Date of Entry is Invoice Date

I think GRIR means Goods-receipt/Invoice-Receipt

You can make  reference of the supplier's invoice number in Tally to track the payment. But voucher no should be as per own record.
