Hello Friends,

Could any one help me regarding the articles in CWA.........

Do we have articleship in CWA now.......????????? IF yes , how many years...??? Please give the latest update on this.....

Dear Jayasri:

Training scheme of CWA registered students under Revised Syllabus 2008 is 3-years like as we have in CA. To put it simply, students who registered with ICWAI on or after 01-Jan-2008 are required to undergo 3-year training. However, exemption from training for a period of 2.5 years will be given. For this, one should have worked in the recognised organisations and in recognised areas for training. Say, if you have 3 years work experience, you can claim the training exemption for a period of not more than 2.5 years. For the balance training period, you need to work in the recognised organisations/areas. For availing this exemption, you need to pay exemption fee within 45 days from the date of registering as a student.

As per existing rules, a student have an option to start his training at any stage even after completing Final or at Inter stage itself. However, as per the circular given in CWA website, from Dec 2012 exam onwards, one should have mandatorily completed the practical training for atleast 6 months to make him eligible for giving the Final exams. Please note that CA Articles experience will not be taken into account. Hope this would suffice.

And one more thing i heard that if we complete CA articles then claim CWA articles, is that true.......????

And if working in a MNC as an employee , can we claim then????

hi krishna sir ... i need to knw more abt dis trainind ... i hav completd my cwa inter dis june 2011 ..so i m eligible for giving cwa final in june 2012 or nt .... n wat r dese training problems????

If you have registered for cwa course on or after 1-1-2008, then you should do 3-yr training like ca articles. This training you can do at any time after inter/final exams. But you will get membership of ICWA only after passing final exam and after completing the practical training period. Till the completion of training is pending, I think one can use AICWA (Associate CWA) title. But you can use FICWA (Fellow CWA) title only after completing practical training.

For writing your final cwa in june 2012, you need to have Coaching Completion Certificate for one/both the groups. If you write one, you need to have CCC of one group for writing exam. But, if you writes both groups at a time, then in addition to CCC of both groups you also need to complete Modular Training of 15 days, then only you can be eligible to sit in final exams. Compulsory training of 6 month minimum is starting from Dec. 2012 exams. So you dont have problem if you completes before this.

thanx fr the rpl ......that means if i registrating myself for june 2012 grp 3 there will b no problem fr me bt i hav to complete 6 months training before final grp 4????
