im doing both ca and cs. my articleship for ca has already started. my question is that do i have to do cs training of 1.5 year as well? is it compulsory? if yes will i get exemption because im doing ca articleship as well?

no exemption in article ship on the basis of ca article ship.
if you want to become member of ICSI then 15 months article ship will must. otherwise no need to do cs article ship.

You have to complete the 15 months training before u get the membership of ICSI.
But if u have an experiance of working as an Assistant Company Secretary in a reputed Company then u can get exemption from the training. But exemption will depend on the merit of the case and it will be decided by the Directorate of Training.
No other experiance will be considered for exemption.
