Cs registration expired, but training pending

Hello CS friends,

i have cleared cs professional exams in Dec 2012 session.. i intial 5 years cs registration expired in January 2013 (reg in Feb 2008),

Since i cleared my prof exams, i did not apply for de-novo reg.

but now i would be starting 15 months mgt training in next 4-5 days.

Considering the above points, my queries are:

1   WOULD I HAVE TO APPLY FOR DE-NOVO REG so as to be eligible to commence training?

2   If not would my existing registration be valid (only for the purpose of training)

Any advice / clarification would be very helpful & highly appreciated.
