X can solve 80% of the problems while Y can solve 90% of the problems given in the books of statistics. If the problem selected at random, find the probability that at least one of them will solve the problem?

0.8 x 0.1 + 0.2 x 0.9

0.8 x 0.1 + 0.2 x 0.9 = 0.26

This is not correct !!!

Ans will be 98% (1 - 0.1*0.2)
