I would like to know whether there is any provision or notification exempting SSI units from the requirement of cost audit.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 642 read with clause (d) of sub
section 209 of the Companies Act, 1956, (1 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the rules, They shall apply to every company engaged in the production or manufacturer of excepting those companies falling under the category of small scale industrial units.
