If it was online return(e-filing), you can request copy of intimation using income tax india efiling website.

Thanks for your response. The response from CPC was for me to get in touch with the assessing officer to get a copy. Unfortunately, my file was transferred to Delhi from chennai for some reason and I am unable to arrange someone to get it.
