Good Morning - I was sent a tax demand in december of 2010, which I was not aware of till now. Just found out while going through the website. How do I get a copy of the original notification? I am assuming I have to respond within 4 years of the origial notice, so a bit pressed for time.
Appreciate your help.
If it was online return(e-filing), you can request copy of intimation using income tax india efiling website.

Thanks for your response. The response from CPC was for me to get in touch with the assessing officer to get a copy. Unfortunately, my file was transferred to Delhi from chennai for some reason and I am unable to arrange someone to get it.
