Hi, I have UTI Equity Share Certificate in physical and I want to convert into Dematerialised (Demate a/c) as on today's date.

Also noted that these certificate are not in my name. Person who gave me is not in my range or connection.

Now how could I claim those shares value (Rs. 2.5 L)

First you hv to find out whether he is dead or alive. Obtain death certificates and then apply for transmission.
Thanks for your comment but in question I've already mentioned that the person is not in my range/connection.
Without any specific rights given by original security holder or not having any blood relations in which succession or legal heir certificate can be issued ( if holder Is no more ) , it's not possible to transfer shares in your name...
