Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether consolidation is required for a company holding a 75% share in a partnership firm. It delves into the practical application of consolidation, the process for attestation, and the concept of cost constraints as a potential reason for non-consolidation, referencing accounting standards (AS) and the new conceptual framework.

Cost constraint refers to the constraint that the information to be reported when the benefits to be derived is greater than the cost incurred for reporting the particular information. If the reporting is too expensive then the information is not included in financial records.
