I have filed returns but not everified my ITR for AY22-23 within 120 days. I have applied for "condonation request" on 31-05-2023 and everified ITR. and it showing "Your ITR is invalid till the condonation request is approved. However, if the time to process the return u/s 143(1) of I.T Act is over, it is deemed that the condonation request, if any, has not been considered (or) has been rejected by the DIT(CPC)." Yes, you can file updated return provided you don't have any refund claim.
Yes itr 1 can be filed.
Dear Dhirajlal, same case is with me...ITR was filled but didn't verify and its invalid now.....but also unable to file updated return bcz it shows error of ITR already filled or u can not file with NIL tax

You can file updated ITR if and only if you have any (additional) tax liability..........
