Companies letter head - companies act

	Hello Everyone! Is there any circular passed by MCA which makes it compulsory to quote companies its CIN no. on its letter head w.e.f 01.04.2014. Also, other changes in the letter head is needed as per MCA. Please share if so. Thanks in advance.

Section 12 of the Companies Act, 2013 has been notified, effective from 01.04.2014. Sub-section (3), clause (c), says that,

Every company shall —

(c) get its name, address of its registered office and the Corporate Identity Number along with telephone number, fax number, if any, e-mail and website addresses, if any, printed in all its business letters, billheads, letter papers and in all its notices and other official publications.

Further, sub-section 8 says that,

If any default is made in complying with the requirements of this section, the company and every officer who is in default shall be liable to a penalty of one thousand rupees for every day during which the default continues but not exceeding one lakh rupees.

Section 12 of the Companies Act, 2013 was notified by MCA vide notification dated 26.03.2014.
